Tomorrow is the first day of October. Every time it rolls around, I feel myself breathe a sigh of relief: like I’m, somehow,… home. It doesn’t matter where I am (although, some places are better than others, in terms of celebrating). There’s something in the air, or, maybe, it’s just in my mind, but every thing I do, no matter how small, becomes an adventure, even if it’s just going to the store to buy bread. The counter on the right side of the page ticks away the moments until October 31st, but, really, Halloween begins well before that.
So, I’ve put together a list of things any Halloween-ophile would be happy to tackle. This list is, to say the least, ambitious. Some of the activities can be combined into one day, like the Halloween Games at a party. The list is in no particular order, except Trick-Or-Treating and Decorate. For the love of Pete, Decorate, and do it at the beginning! When you display your holiday spirit, you make Halloween better for everyone. Some of the activities on the list might not be available where you are, like a Festival, Parade or Escape Room. Do what you can. If all else fails, burn some candles, watch Halloween Wars, and eat some popcorn.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
